Crocodile Bay

This outdoor adventure provides the opportunity to catch tuna, dorado, and the main attraction, MARLIN. Reeling in at approx. 350lbs or more, this is the true sport of sea fishing. It's even possible to real in a dorado that tips the scale at 50lbs! Of course, experience does matter when it comes to this kind of fishing and yes it does help to have a little but of muscle mass as well. No matter, a trip to Crocodile Bay is surely worth the money because we all know that the satisfaction of reeling in a huge marlin is the true payment.

The River Naver

Known as one of the best places in Scotland to fish for salmon, the River Naver is located in the heart of the Scottish highlands. This private yet beautiful river is also home to grilse in the summers. Only allowing fly fishing, this river is in the perfect spot to relax and take it easy while guaranteed a good catch. Take a look!

The Bahamas

With 50 world fishing records set in the Bahamas, it's no wonder these islands are so popular for their variety of different fish and fishing styles. It is also known as the "Bonefish Capital of the World". There are some big game fish like Marlin, Tuna, and even...sharks! Aside from big game, there is also Reef fishing or "bottom fishing" that gives way for trigger fish, yellow fins, or snappers. But, let's not forget fly fishing! Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit as most common with this form of fishing. Supposedly, the best places to fish are, Andros, Bimini, Grand Bahama Island, The Abacos, and The Berry Islands.

Livingston, Montana

Armstrong's Spring Creek

Livingston, apart from being a beautiful piece of land in Montana, provides multiple places to fly fish along its bountiful channel. These tributaries of Yellowstone are known as Paradise Valley Spring Creeks. DePuy's, Nelson's, and Armstrong's are said to offer the most consistent conditions for anglers as well as a large supply of oversized brown and spirited trout. However, the Spring Creeks do require a certain level of fishing ability and knowledge. So, it's not quite recommended for inexperienced/rookie fishers.

Kenai Peninsula, Alaska

I'd like to start off saying that I will most likely be posting about Alaska fishing a lot and it is due to this strange obsession I have with wanting to retire and live there sometime in the future. This strange fascination with the great state of Alaska came from a tv show; Sarah Palin's Alaska. This fun fact about me in no way means I am a supporter of Palin, but watching that woman trying to hunt and fish on tv, really makes for some quality entertainment. Besides that, the show really gives a good sense of what a lot of Alaska's wildlife activities are as well as some great looks into all kinds of fishing they have there. If you are ever in need of a good laugh and a glimpse of Alaska, I would highly suggest it.

Anyhow, back to purpose of this blog. The Kenai Peninsula.

This peninsula is home to many wild salmon (of course), wild native rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, and some Grayling. It allows for many fishing types, but personally I would definitely do more fly fishing than anything. However I would also invest time into a salmon run as well due to the fact that Alaska is one of the best places to take an swing at some salmon. According to multiple sources, the Kenai Penisula has one of the most productive ecosystems in Alaska. Therefore providing an abundance of fish to catch.

Ambergris Caye, Belize

Serving as the largest island in Belize, Ambergris Caye also serves as a premier fishing destination for fly, spin, and trolling year round. Aside from the open sea and its reefs, there are also lagoons and rivers that give an abundant variety of fish from barracuda and bonefish to marlin and sailfish. Most of these fish can be caught year round as well. Due to the size and many places to fish in and around this island, you are very unlikely to run into other fishermen which is always a plus. The waters are a beautiful clear blue with white sandy beaches. And the weather is often times permitting. Between deep sea fishing and fly fishing, there's absolutely no way a fisherman can get bored. If charters fit your style, there's many boats that will take you out reef or deep sea.

I am a high school student living in a small mountain community. I play soccer, volleyball, and basketball (my favorite) for my school. In my free time I mostly hunt and fish around Colorado. The reason why I chose to create a blog about fishing is because growing up my dad, who is an experienced fisherman, I would go out fishing almost every weekend. I grew to love it and have enjoyed getting to fish a variety of ways in a variety of places including Colorado and California. These opportunities allowed for me to gain some experience fly fishing as well as some deep sea fishing.
